Rachel trained with the British Kodaly Academy, gaining Distinction in Early Childhood Music Teaching covering music education from 0-7 years. She is passionate about the value and benefits of music for children and has 18 years of relevant experience. She has a degree in Dance and Drama, plays the piano and is an IAIMs qualified Infant Massage instructor.
Many studies have established that engagement with touch, sensory and musical activities can positively affect early childhood, and parenthood! Carefully crafted, my classes use music and movement to support many aspects of your child's development including bonding, language, physical and social skills.

At Hey Little Songbirds, sensory activities and musical stories stimulate the imagination; language and numerical skills flourish through rhymes and sounds; quality percussion instruments develop hand-eye co-ordination; action songs improve co-ordination; and interactive activities contribute to an enjoyable social experience.
