I was reading an IAMS newsletter this week about baby massage and the wonderful benefits for both baby and parent. Most striking was the fact that gentle touch reduces physiological stress and has a hugely positive affect on brain development. It helps babies develop a sense of self and builds cortisol. It is a vital sense required for baby's growth, and helps for a strong attachment! I offer the IAIMs 5 week baby massage course from my house for groups of new parents. I'm based in Barnes, but easy for East Sheen, Mortlake and West Putney alike. Please get in touch if you are interested! Baby massage and sensory classes on offer too!
